BAK Food Equipment builds on John Bobak’s success in the food manufacturing industry.

As a young man, John helped grow a Chicago–based food processing business from a single location to multiple production facilities, becoming a mainstay in the Chicago Sausage scene and across the nation.​


Now, BAK Food Equipment brings that same expertise in food manufacturing to providing high-quality food processing solutions, equipment, installation, design, engineering, and service nationwide.​

Growth Milestones

2015

John Bobak Founds Nowicki USA (which would later become BAK Food Equipment) to provide high-quality food processing equipment, leveraging his extensive food processing industry experience he gained growing a food processing business from a single location to multiple production houses.​

2017

Nowicki USA enters a strategic partnership with N&N Nadratowski to offer more equipment solution offerings​‎

2018

We partner with Protech to innovate food technology and expand our equipment & service capabilities. Protech's offering include market leading smoking solutions.

2019

BAK, in conjunction with Protech, engineers the world's first automated natural smoking spiral system (patent-pending)​ capable of smoking, cooking, and chilling products with minimal labor and at an unprecedented rate.

2021

Construction began on North America's first automated natural smoking spiral line at one of the world's largest bacon processors​

2022

Recognizing our expanded capabilities and commitment to service, we rebranded from Nowicki USA to BAK Food Equipment​. This coincided with the construction of a brand new state-of-the-art facility.

2024

BAK Food Equipment doubles its employee count as we scale to keep up with rapid growth​
