Industrial Food Container Washers — Type MPA-1200

Nowicki MPA-1200 high-capacity container washers minimize water and detergent consumption while maintaining exceptional wash quality. The MPA-1200 has a tunnel washer morphology employing a plate link-chain conveyor to take conveyors through the machine. The washer is designed to clean containers measuring up to 27.5 x 23.5 x 15.5 inches (L x W x H) at a rate of 1,200 containers an hour. The equipment features an extremely efficient container blow-off system to knock water off cleaned containers before stacking.

MPA-1200 CONSTRUCTION ADVANTAGES

Adaptable to fully automatic container warehousing operations, the MPA-1200 includes:

• A prewash section
• A washing section
• Rinsing
• Steaming (optional)
• An air blow-off system

The automatic container washers’ two water tanks have a 450 L capacity and a closed water circulation system (with filtration). An optional rotating filter is self-cleaning. Water heating is possible through electric, steam, steam-electric, oil, gas, or exchanger technologies. An automatic water temperature control system includes a display showing set and current parameters. Conductimetric feedback tracks detergent concentrations, supports automatic dosing, and alerts plant personnel that the machine requires detergent replenishment.

The high-capacity container washers also include:

• An automatic chemical dosing pump with concentration display
• Stainless-steel nozzles with easy-to-disassemble washing manifolds
• A gravitational self-regulating pressure top rail
• A side guard that opens

The container washer also accepts the addition of an optional air blow-off module with an array of eight ventilators.

USER-FRIENDLY MPA-1200 DESIGN FEATURES

Machine guards prevent plant personnel from accidentally opening the container washer when it’s operating. In addition, the machine includes industry-standard safety switches and:

• A 5.7 inch full-color touchscreen control panel with intuitive software and menus
• Signaling to indicate when the pump is switched on and off
• The ability to turn the conveyor on and off or to adjust its speed (and verify conveyor state through machine signaling)
• A washing temperature control and hysteresis system complete with a clear display of all parameters
• An automatic water-level control and correction system
• A counter that tracks the number of containers washed

Nowicki MPA-1200 high-capacity container washers can also track water consumption (optional) and integrate into a SCADA Monitoring System (optional).

EXTRA-HIGH-CAPACITY CONTAINER WASHER VARIATIONS

Building on the design strengths of the MPA-1200 container washer is the Nowicki MP-3000. The MP-3000 container washer can clean and disinfect 3,000 containers per hour with two independently controlled washer lines that operate within one rugged housing. The machine is designed to accommodate expansion of the line with container washer modules that can satisfy various requirements for wash throughput and container dryness after washing.

Both the MPA-1200 and the MP-3000 feature a new self-aligning container clamping system. It adjusts to the current container dimensions without operator intervention.
